The WIEFP2016 – 3^rd Workshop on Innovative Engineering for Fluid Power is a Swedish-Brazilian initiative started in 2012 focused on to promote collaboration in development of technologies, education, innovation management, and methods and tools for hydraulic and pneumatic system development and design. The WIEFP2016 is organized by Federal University Santa Catarina (UFSC), Linköping University (LiU), Federal University of ABC (UFABC), Swedish-Brazilian Research and Innovation Centre (CISB), and Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Industrial Automation Equipment Sectorial Chamber (CSHPA/ABIMAQ).

The AIM DAY Follow up meeting is an opportunity to meet some participants who was part in the Workshop AIMday Smart Industries held last May 19 at UFMG. In that circumstance, the researchers created project ideas to solve the challenges which were proposed by industries. After 6 months it is time for a meeting with the purpose of updating the institutions involved about the development of the project ideas, sharing experiences and possibilities of funding.
The initiative is organized by CISB, FAPEMIG, Linköping University, UFMG and Uppsala University.

CISB in partnership with the Swedcham Maintenance Group, offers a unique opportunity to establish a Dialogue in Industrial Big Data and Maintenance Analytics as first step to create an environmental for future collaboration. The dialogue will be led by Diego Galar, Professor of Condition Monitoring in Luleå University of Technology and also Professor of Maintenance in University of Skövde in Sweden. It will take place at Volvo do Brasil plant in Curitiba and aims to discuss the possibilities that lie within applying the maintenance 4.0 concept in the industry and the positive effects on technology, organization and operations from a systems perspective.

The Swedish Brazilian Research and Innovation Centre (CISB), together with Royal Institute Technology (KTH) and the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG) in a unique opportunity will meet to dialogue about actions that aim to strengthen co-operation in aeronautics & defense between the Universities from Minas Gerais state and KTK of Sweden. In the circumstances, the Director of International Cooperation with Brazil at KTH, Professor Semida Silveira will be present.

The dialogue has the specific objective of the alignment of actions that will be held on week 11 in 2017, when several activities in the sector will happen with the participation of KTH’s researchers.

It will take place at FAPEMIG head office in Belo Horizonte.

The Summit will join Brazilian and Swedish actors involved in cooperation in aeronautics and Defence, aiming to share the information regarding events on week 41 in Sweden.

The activity will be exclusive to the members of the Aeronautics Committee and Brazilian Reference Group.

Smart city concepts in Curitiba – innovation for sustainable mobility and energy efficiency - is a consortium of Swedish and Brazilian stakeholders that will promote system innovation, combining information technology and smart grids to develop electro-mobility, energy efficient and low-carbon transport services in the city of Curitiba aiming at sustainable urban development.

CISB is one of the partners of the Project together with Swedish and Brazilian institutions such as KTH-ECS, KTH-ONLab, Combitech AB, Volvo Buses AB, UTFPR, Volvo Bus Latin America, URBS, COPEL and IPPUC. As part of the Annual Meeting, the Academic Partners of the Project will hold a meeting in Curitiba to discuss the results of the Project and next steps.

CISB is organizing the Swedish Universities Brazilian Roadshow 2016, which is in its 4th edition. This year 7 Swedish universities are expecting to visit around 8 Brazilian universities.

At the time, undergraduate students will have the chance to talk to representatives of Swedish universities about educational opportunities and obtain information about how to live and study in Sweden, the entry prerequisites at universities, the programs offered, among others.
