WORKSHOP TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS
THE OPEN ARENA APPROACH

Download Folder

INTRODUCTION

Transport & Logistic is an area of increasing importance for Brazilian competitiveness. The Brazilian maritime logistic area, which was strengthened after the so-called “MP dos Portos” (provisional measure for the ports) and the promulgation of the Law 12.815 in 2013, is well-known for its operational and legal bottlenecks.

Ports, terminals and shipping lines – with emphasis on short sea shipping and logistics systems, as well as connected storages – are under-developed both in operational and technological terms. The expected expansion within maritime logistic area should bring a more competitive scenario with implications for its operational effectiveness and costs efficiency.

In this workshop, the participant is welcomed to have a more active role by identifying challenges and opportunities to, through setting a Swedish-Brazilian collaborative network, build solutions together with industrial, academic and societal actors and experts.
