Brazil and Sweden Collaboration in the area of materials
When struck by lightning, an aircraft can be severely damaged in addition to causing panic in passengers. In order to increase flight safety and increase lightning strike protection, Chalmers University of Technology, Universidade Federal do ABC (Federal University of ABC - UFABC) and the Swedish companies Saab AB, 2D Fab and Blackwing established a partnership in 2014, with the support of CISB, and started the Multigraph project – Multi-functional composite structure with Graphene. Brazil Sweden Corporate Venture Initiative: Reaping good fruits
CISB kick-started the Brazil-Sweden Corporate Venture Initiative in July, which has already yielded results for the collaboration between the two countries. In order to connect startups to large companies, the program happened in two different ways: Brazilian companies going to Sweden to find Swedish startups; and Swedish organizations looking for technology-based startups in Brazil. Brazil Sweden Collaboration in Radars
The areas of research in SAR (Synthetic-aperture radar) processing, remote sensing, radio concealment, and autonomous vehicles are considered strategic in both Brazil and Sweden. As a result, the Aeronautical Technology Institute (ITA) and the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH - Blekinge Tekniska Högskola) have been carrying out joint projects with each other and in partnership with other institutions and companies from both countries. read more » |

In a partnership between CISB and the National Association of Innovative Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises (ANPROTEC), four Brazilian startups were selected to go to Sweden and present their technologies and new business models to large Swedish and Brazilian companies in the initiative entitled Corporate Venture Brazil- Sweden. read more » |
