The program Swedish Endowed Professor Chair at ITA in the Honor of Peter Wallenberg Sr., which instituted Chairs at Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) is completing almost 3 years of execution and with good generation of fruits. The Workshop aims to present the Program template, the status of the projects leaded by the 4 Swedish professors, how they had expanded the cooperation with research groups from other universities in Brazil, besides the ITA and the perspectives for continuation. The workshop will also offer a Round Table for a focused discussion in the sustainability and development of the program in the long term.

CISB and Mackenzie offer unique opportunity to establish a dialogue in Graphene, led by Prof. E. A. de Souza (Thoroh) from Mackenzie and Prof. Ragnar Larsson, Head of the division for material and computational mechanics from Chalmers University of Technology. During the dialogue, we wil have some lectures and start discussion for potential collaboration under the umbrela of the Swedish Endowed Professor Chair at ITA Program. The program also includes a visit at the laboratories of the MackGraphe Center. It is expected the participation of researchers from the Center and also representants from CISB Member’s from Brazil or Sweden.

Scania Latin America organizes the Inovathon – Logistic Challenge on September 30th. Inovathon is a marathon for undergraduate students who will have the mission to create an innovative solution focused on the logistics sector. For this year, before the final of September 30th, held in São Paulo, the students will participate, during the month of August of regional stages. This phase will be presential and from the result of a theoretical test, the evaluation of the academic history and the solution of a case, will be defined the 25 (five by region) that follow for the dispute by a trip of knowledge by Sweden. CISB supports the initiative considering it one more activity which certainly enriches its Annual Meeting and the event offers a unique experience to Brazilian students to feel how is the real life in an industry.

The Study in Sweden at Metodista will be organized by CISB and Universidade Metodista de São Paulo with the main purpose: share experiences about studying abroad and the challenges, benefits and some testimonials. The event will count with the presence of Professor Semida Silveira, who is the author of the book “Pelo Mundo afora”, which addresses how the international experience can transform their lives, their developments and their careers. Some students from Metodista University will also give their testimonials about their international experience that can encourage and inspire other students. Besides that some Swedish Universities will present the opportunities to study in Sweden, the second more innovative country according to Global Innovation Index.

This activity is restricted to students from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, Centro Universitário FEI, Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia and UFABC.

CISB is organizing a Study Visit at UFMG with the presence of the Prof. Ragnar Larsson, Head of the division for material and computational mechanics from Chalmers University of Technology, who will develop a project in collaboration with Brazil related to graphene field. UFMG hosts several labs and important research groups with high potential of collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology and Sweden as well. The activity will offer a study visits to the labs, learn about the on-going research projects in the groups and visualize opportunities for future collaboration.

CISB is organizing a Study Visit at UNICAMP with the presence of the Prof. Ragnar Larsson, Head of the division for material and computational mechanics from Chalmers University of Technology, who will develop a project in collaboration with Brazil related to graphene field. UNICAMP hosts an important research group from Center for Computational Engineering & Sciences (CCES) with high potential of collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology and Sweden as well. The study visit will provide an opportunity to learn about the on-going research projects and visualize opportunities for future collaboration.

A summit involving the Brazilian and Swedish actors involved in the cooperation through AeroLogLab, aiming to discuss the results achieved so far and the next steps of the initiative.

The activity will be exclusive to the actors involved in the AeroLogLab.

Continuing the visit of the Swedish Embassy to the state of Goiás in April 2017, CISB and Business Sweden conducted a study with public and private institutions in Goiás to identify opportunities for cooperation between Sweden and Goiás.

Based on the results obtained, a round-table discussion is being organized to present to the Secretary of Economic, Scientific and Technological Development and of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of the State of Goiás the possibilities of collaboration and their unfolding.
